This Phra Somdej Pilanth amulet from Wat Rakhang Kositaram was created by “Phra Phutthabat Pilanth,” a principal disciple of Somdej Phra Phutthacharn (To Phromrangsi), who served closely with and participated in the creation of other Phra Somdej amulets from Wat Rakhang. Phra Somdej Pilanth is a highly valued amulet, approximately 140-150 years old, with various molds. Its value ranges from tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of baht, and it's considered the second generation of Phra Somdej amulets from Wat Rakhang. It has been highly sought after in the collector's circle for a long time, meeting international standards and possessing inherent value. Furthermore, there are numerous accounts of miraculous experiences reported by those who worship it. Currently, finding a Phra Somdej Pilanth in such beautiful and pristine condition is rare.
This particular Phra Somdej Pilanth amulet from Wat Rakhang Kositaram is of the Archwayพิมพ์ (Deep Relief) type. The amulet is in exceptionally beautiful condition, grade A+++. The details are crisp and clear, with intact lines, inscriptions, archway edges, the body of the amulet, and base. The back shows fingerprints from the molding process, and the back is slightly convex. The surface has some faint traces of natural patina and oxidation.
