details

Priced at 340,000 baht…with a signature on the base…very beautiful…

This is a Luang Pu Thuad floating-figure amulet from Wat Chang Hai, Pattani Province, dated 2508 BE (1965 AD). The base bears a signature. This is considered the first cast amulet of this type directly from Wat Chang Hai (not counting the 2505 BE (1962 AD) version with a numbered base, which was released at Wat Phutthathiwat, Betong District, Yala Province).

It is a highly sought-after Luang Pu Thuad amulet, widely traded in the collector's market. It was created to raise funds for the construction of a school building at Benjamarachutit School, Pattani Province.

It is an antique-style cast amulet, made of a single type of mixed metal, with a limited edition of 5,000 pieces.

The amulet depicts Luang Pu Thuad seated in meditation on a lotus base, hence the name "Bua Rob" (lotus-encircled) type. A small bell is embedded in the base. The hole for the bell is sealed with the same metal, and three lines of text are stamped onto the amulet:

- Line 1 reads “Visai Sophon” (the monastic title of Phra Ajarn Tim - Phra Kru Visai Sophon)

- Line 2 reads “Luang Pu Thuad”

- Line 3 reads “Wat Chang Hai”.

Some lines of text are clearly stamped, while others are less clear, giving this type of amulet another name: “Signature Base.” These three lines of text are stamped with the same tool and serve as a “code” for distinguishing genuine from counterfeit amulets.

This Luang Pu Thuad floating-figure amulet is in excellent condition, grade A, with a vibrant red patina throughout. It is beautifully and perfectly cast, sharp and clear in every dimension, with all details intact, including the forehead lines, prominent nose, and original casting residue. The code is stamped on the base, the bell is sealed, and there are seam marks on the sides.

The amulet is plump and robust, with a copper-like metal hue and a vibrant, original patina. The bell rings clearly, making it easy to authenticate. This amulet is in perfect condition, with a very red patina, and is one of the most popular and sought-after amulets in the collector's market.

The design is uniquely beautiful, the limited production quantity and the clear intention behind its creation make it highly desirable.
