Somdej Rasami amulet from Wat Klong Khom, Sam Chuk District, Suphan Buri Province
- (11 amulets)
- Luang Pu Suk, Wat Pak Khlong Makham Thao, consecrated around 1913-1917
(good amulets of Luang Pu Suk that are not expensive, worth collecting, if interested, please ask)
- The abbot of Wat Klong Khom at that time was Luang Pho Um. He was one of Luang Pu Suk’s disciples of Wat Pak Khlong Makham Thao. Luang Pho Um often visited Luang Pu Suk regularly
. - Luang Pu Suk also helped create amulets to raise funds to build the ubosot at Wat Klong Khom.
- The ingredients used in the making of the amulets were magic powder, 108 herbs, flower pollen, Phathamang powder, Itthijae powder from ancient formulas, etc. Luang Pho Um and Luang Pu Suk consecrated together for 1 quarter (before the big ceremony).
- With Luang Pu Suk of Wat Pak Khlong Makham Thao He presided over the ceremony of the Buddha Abhiseka ceremony for the Buddha images enshrined in the Khlong Khom crypt around 1913-1917, which was a large-scale blessing ceremony
. - In addition, many other highly skilled monks from Suphan Buri, Chainat, and other places also participated in the blessing ceremony, but the well-known ones include
#Luang Pho Boi of Wat Manao,
#Luang Pho Im of Wat Hua Khao, and even
#Luang Pho Pan of Wat Bang Nom Kho,
who also participated in this ceremony. This alone is considered the pinnacle of the ceremony, because the monks who participated in the blessing ceremony are considered to be truly skilled.
- After that, they were distributed to those who came to make merit. It is said that when the chapel was completed, many powdered Buddha images remained.
- Luang Pho Um therefore placed the Buddha images in the chedi built in front of the chapel and under the base of the principal Buddha image's altar in the chapel.
- Along with this, a steel record was inscribed on a silver plate, stating the history of this set of Buddha images and placed them in the chedi as well. And the pagoda itself had a sign clearly stating that it was a crypt containing Luang Pu Suk's amulets
. When the crypt was first excavated, around 1979-1981, it was said that the crypt beneath the principal Buddha image in the ordination hall of Wat Khlong Khom had burst open due to a roof leak. Rainwater had fallen on the Buddha image for a long time, causing one side of the base of the image to rot and fall against the wall. Villagers had to lift it and place it beside its original position
. They discovered a large pit containing amulets, with two layers. The upper layer had clean surfaces, while the lower layer had been saturated with rainwater and dried out. When the amulets were recovered, they were found to be covered in a great deal of sand and soil. The temple had piled them up into large and small lumps, some covered in soil and stuck together. When counting them, they had to be poured with water and then used available tools to slowly chip the amulets apart bit by bit. Of course, the amulets might have flaws or were not very beautiful. Another point was the crypt within the pagoda, which had been broken into by thieves. The temple consulted with the committee to open the crypt and found these amulets.
