สิ่งประทับใจในการศึกษาพระสมเด็จของหลวงปู่นาค คือการค้นพบสิ่งที่เรียกว่าสูตรเนื้อพระสมเด็จ จากพระสมเด็จหลวงปู่นาค วัดระฆัง ซึ่งในช่วงระยะแรกเริ่มในการศึกษาพระสมเด็จนั้นได้ไปที่วัดระฆังบ่อย ๆ เพื่อไปสวดมนต์พระคาถาชินบัญชรต่อหน้าพระรูปหล่อสมเด็จพุฒาจารย์โต ณ วัดระฆังโฆสิตาราม และใส่เงินทำบุญกับตู้บริจาคของมูลนิธิพระสมเด็จพุฒาจารย์โต พรหมรังสี พร้อมกันไปด้วย ซึ่งผู้นิยมพระสมเด็จมีความเชื่อกันว่าผลบุญที่เกิดจะทำให้มีโอกาสได้ครอบครองพระสมเด็จแท้ๆ สักองค์หนึ่ง ทำให้ได้มีโอกาสศึกษาพระสมเด็จที่สร้างโดยหลวงปู่นาค วัดระฆังที่สร้างไว้มากมายหลายพิมพ์ทรง โดยเฉพาะที่สร้างไว้ตั้งแต่ ปี พ.ศ. 2584 และ ปี พ.ศ. 2595 ซึ่งเป็นพระสมเด็จที่ท่านได้จัดสร้างไว้โดยมีมวลสารของพระสมเด็จวัดระฆังที่แตกหักผสมไว้เป็นจำนวนมากมายมหาศาล ซึ่งเป็นเศษพระแตกหักจากผู้ที่นำมาไว้ที่วัดและพระสมเด็จวัดระฆัง ที่พบบนหลังคาโบสถ์จำนวนมาก ทำให้ได้ความรู้ว่าพระสมเด็จของหลวงปู่นาคบางองค์ที่เนื้อจัด ๆ นั้น เซียนพระบางท่านนำมาใส่ตลับทองตีว่าเป็นพระสมเด็จวัดระฆัง และเปิดราคาเป็นหลัก หมื่นหลักแสนนั้น ความจริงแล้วเป็นพระสมเด็จของหลวงปู่นาค วัดระฆัง ที่สร้างในยุคต้น ๆ ที่มีเนื้อหาส่วนผสมของพระสมเด็จวัดระฆังอยู่เป็นจำนวนมากนั่นเอง
