SHAH ALAM: Form Three Assessment (PT3) examination candidate, E. Krishah whose weakest subject was Bahasa Malaysia, was pleasantly surprised that she not only obtained an A, her marks in the subject were also the highest among all subjects she sat for.

Krishah scored 9As and is among five students at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Bukit Jelutong, here, who scored all As in the examination.

"My Malay is weak and I did everything I could to improve my proficiency including practicing to converse in Malay with my Malay friends six months before the exam.

"I also frequently asked the teacher questions when I have problems in writing essays and I went for tuition in the subject," she said when met at the school today.

A total of 381 students from SMK Bukit Jelutong sat for PT3 examination in October from the 82,160 candidates in Selangor.

Her friend Mohamad Mukhzuhayr Mohd Rashid, 15, attributed his 10A result to the early preparation since the start of the school year.

Mukhzuhayr said he also often watched Science videos on 'Youtube' to strengthen his understanding of the subject apart from paying full attention in class.

The fifth of six siblings said although Science was his favourite subject, he was more keen on going for the Accounting stream next year.

Another straight A student, Muhammad Adam Jefri Johan, 15, said he doubled his effort when many PT3 was tougher than Penilaian Menengah Renda (PMR).

"I consider it as a challenge. PT3 was indeed tougher as it requires the students to think out of the box and get out of their comfort zone," he said.

Meanwhile, SMK Bukit Jelutong principal Che Sapora Ibrahim said the school only targeted two students to get As in all subjects and was thankful that the students’ performance exceeded the school's target.

Last year, no student obtained A’s for all subjects in the PT3 examination.
